Illustrative Engineering Assurance DemonstrationStatus: Concept Demonstration

Are we ready for TRR?

GX-1, a fictitious 150 kg-class optical Earth-observation smallsat in low Earth orbit, is preparing for its TRR before system-level thermal-vacuum (TVAC) testing. Choose a gate and a subsystem, open an issue, and follow the evidence.
Not a flight-safety or certification determination. All data is fictitious and invented for this demonstration. It shows how AEAIP is designed to present readiness; it is not AEAIP software, and the readiness logic is a simplified teaching model.

How the demo decides

Transparent readiness rules

Every open item records the first gate it affects and whether it is a condition or a blocker there. Many conditions become blockers at a later gate: an anomaly that may be open while a test starts must be closed before acceptance.

  • A subsystem is NOT READY if any blocking item affects it, CONDITIONAL if only conditions do, otherwise READY.
  • The overall recommendation is NOT READY if any subsystem is NOT READY, GO WITH CONDITIONS if any is CONDITIONAL, otherwise GO.
  • Every count on the panel is the number of listed items of that type, so every number can be opened.
  • Gates already held show their recorded decision; later gates show a forecast from today's evidence.

Real programmes define their own criteria through Configurable Assurance Gates, and the decision is always the review board's.

Evidence validity scenario (SAT-EPS-014)

  1. 1. Current — TR-EPS-114 passes at 4.102 V per cell. The evidence and the baseline under review are the same configuration.
  2. 2. Change detected — The battery management firmware moves to 2.4.0, the board to Rev C, the EPS–OBC interface to Rev D, the test procedure to Rev B, and the requirement tolerance is tightened in Rev 3.
  3. 3. At Risk — The June evidence was produced on a configuration that no longer matches the baseline. AEAIP flags it; it does not delete or silently keep it.
  4. 4. Reverification Required — Delta analysis shows the charge-termination logic changed in firmware 2.4.0, so the result cannot be retained by rationale. The requirement is reopened and a retest is planned.
  5. 5. Current — reverified — TP-EPS-022 Rev B passes at 4.098 V per cell on BMS FW 2.4.0 and PCB Rev C. The June evidence is marked superseded and kept for history.

Sample data last reviewed . Fictitious; any resemblance to a real programme, requirement or serial number is coincidental.
